Randolph - Painter & Printmaker
As a painter, Randolph typically works in watercolors, gouache and acrylics, often combining these media with drawing to express the essence of the form. Her style is influenced by her practice of Japanese and Chinese brush painting and calligraphy. Randolph's training and work as an architect can be seen in the spatial organization of her paintings. As a a printmaker, Randolph creates original art that is affordable to a wider audience. She employs solarplates to produce either intaglio or relief plates that are then hand-printed in limited editions on a traditional mechanical press.
